Why did you start creating art?
Creating art has always been a part of my life. I can’t remember the first time I drew or created something, but as long as I can remember I have done it. It’s like an urge or a longing; I feel the need to do it. When creating personal art it is my way of coping with or expressing my feelings. Also some of my happiest moments are when other people appreciate my creations, I feel that my art serves in best purpose then
I have created art for so many years and have worked with so many different media, so there are many pieces that hold a great place in my heart. But my oilpainting “philosophy” is one of few art pieces I deem only “mine”, and this one I don’t think I will ever manage to part with for any price. The idea for this painting came to life during philosophy class. The lecturer was talking about the good life, and that humans are at peace and happy when they do what they are meant to do, and I started doodling. I took home the sketch and this is the result. It is really portraying imagination; how a horse porcelain doll can come to life (thats why one might think the horses proportion is a bit off, but it really isn’t, because the model was actually a horse porcelain doll with similar features, and not a real life horse.)
Do any of your works have a special meaning behind it? Which ones?
Most of my art is inspired by something. I have always loved animals and they are one of the biggest sources of inspiration. I love the idea of using art to spread awareness, so I do many works portraying endangered species. Like the tiger for example, one of my favorites. A piece of art with a personal meaning behind it is “kittakima”. My ferret meant a lot to me, and when he passed away after a long and hard illness, painting this watercolor was my way of coping with loosing him.
Hi. Thank you for showing an interest in me and my art.
I've been creating art for as long as I can remember. I never had the chance to attend a tertiary institution, but nothing can stop passion. I feel alive when I paint and make things. I have loved and continue to love the journey of finding my language. Its where I feel really me.
What is your favorite piece of art you have created?
My favorite and best piece of art is always the one I'm busy with, whether or not it says what I want it to. I only find out when I'm
finished.
Do any of your works have a special meaning behind it? Which ones?
Most of my works have a special meaning behind them, and reflect what I am experiencing in my life at the time. Others I do just to relax and have fun. Then there are commissions that have a special meaning for the person who requested them. I always learn something from each work.

Why did you start creating art?
I started creating art at a young age when I discovered I had some drawing ability. My brother and my cousin, who has since passed, were major sources of inspiration. Since then my mandate has been to create art as a means of honing my voice. I believe my voice will service a message that's worth sharing.
What is your favorite piece of art you have created?
My favorite piece is the Conduit. It best represents a philosophy and a 'way' that I try to attain to
Do any of your works have a special meaning behind it? Which ones?
Most of my traditional paintings have allegorical or symbolic meaning. The Conduit, Removing the thorn, Still standing, Light of Truth, and a new one, Murder at Eventide, all have narratives, and are featured on my home page.

Chris's work contains many gorgeous animal portraits with stunning realism and life.
Why did you start creating art?
I have no idea why I started. I cannot remember a time when I didn't draw. Though while I was working I did very little art. Now I am lucky because I have all the time I need to create. Back to the question. Why? Like Lady Gaga would say I was born that way.
