You can import a deviation into muro,(View your deviation, then look on the right and select import to deviantART Muro) or just draw.
Muro works on wacom tablets which have pressure sensitivity. Which is awesome.
It also works on mobile devices but gets a little laggy.
See the layers? You can import an image to a layer. You can do simple photo manipulations in Muro.
Play around with curves and saturation. If you destroy your image, undo is only CNTRL+Z away. Using curves you can easily make your favorite photograph vintage.
Need precise adjustments? Select first!
- CNTRL + Z: Undo
- CNTRL + Y: Redo
- Spacebar and drag: pan around (if you are zoomed in)
- CNTRL + A: Select All
- CNTRl + D: Deselect All
- ] increase brush size
- [ decrease brush size
- Any number will change the opacity of the brush ( ten % increments)
- ,. will allow you to scroll through the tools/ brushes.
- E: Eraser
- Holding shift while drawing will create a straight line
- And you can discover the rest on your own! A lot of these are common shortcuts. (IE: PS, GIMP, SAI, Etc.)
Redraw is useful if you like creating tutorials. This feature is also fun. Show people all those amazing steps you did to create your piece!
Muro: Did You Know?
If you don't feel like logging in, you can access Muro via muro.deviantart.com. You will be able to save to your hard drive. If you are logged in, you will be able to save drawings to your sta.sh.
Sta.sh Writer + Muro Integration
In sta.sh writer, you can drag images into your article/journal. (From right sidebar that says Add Media)
If you hover over the image, you will be able to draw on top.
When you hit draw:
Looks familiar right? This is useful if you want to annotate something. Perhaps you want to create a tutorial using muro, this feature can allow you to do that. Or maybe you want to create something funny.
